Sometimes you go back to an old haunt, remembering how good the food was, then you realise it is no longer as good. Or is it?

I think it is me.

Back then I wasn’t paying so much attention to what I was eating. I was not a gourmand and certainly was not paying close attention to flavours. But my tastes are different now.

But the familiarity of the setting, the memories it evokes, the comfort that follows, all these make the experience still as pleasant as it always was.
